Great on-hand gifts at Target & Sam’s Club

For Christmas I like to give cute inexpensive gifts to my cousins.  A couple of years ago I gave trendy slipper socks and one year I gave miniature bottles of perfume.  This year I have been racking my brain trying to figure out what I am going to present.  This year, it will be little trinkets from the $1 section in Target.  Don’t sleep on this because they have awesome deals on costume jewelry and whatever else you can find.

Another gift-giving idea would be to purchase a tower of gifts such as the European Chocolate Gift Tower at Sam’s Club.  It comes with four decorative boxes filled with chocolate.  That is four gifts to give to others and then you can keep the nice ceramic tray that is at the base of the tower.  This is great to have on-hand for giving gifts during the holidays.

Buyer’s Edge

I look forward to getting the buyer’s edge newspaper on Thursdays.  In this small section of the AJC, you can find recipes, places to eat as well as weekly store ads.  I shop at about three different grocery stores depending on where I find the best deals, but I am partial to Publix.  Publix has buy one get one free (bogof) specials in their weekly ads.  Every now and then I am able to find things on sale that I have never tried.

Because of Publix I have tried…

Pillbury Savorings (Cheese & Spinach) – Oh wow!!!!  These little bites are the best ever and serve as great snacks or appetizers.

Bertolli Oven Bake Meals – These meals are as close as you can get to homemade and they taste amazing.

Edwards Pies – Delicious for a grocery store dessert.  Check them out on sale this week at Wal-Mart.

Shopping with coupons

I am just now really learning how to shop with coupons.  I would clip coupons from the Sunday paper and/or the Thursday Buyer’s Edge and toss them into a ziplock bag.  After doing this for about 3 months, I had coupons galore and no organization.  I had to sift through hundreds of coupons to find what I needed for my weekly grocery trip.

One day I was looking for something on the internet and I read a story about how a lady cut her grocery bill in half.  She referenced a site called couponmom.com.  I took a look at the site and became hooked.  This is the most amazing coupon site because they do all of the work for you.  No more clipping tons of coupons because they show you how to use what you really need.
